We are seeking a Platform Tech Lead who will drive the technical execution of platform initiatives, ensuring software is built with the right design patterns, secure foundations, and long-term maintainability. This role will be central in bridging product vision with engineering execution, reporting into product and engineering leadership while mentoring and guiding the development team.

What You Will Work On

• Technical Leadership & Architecture

  • Define and enforce application security practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards (HIPAA, HITRUST, RBAC/IAM).
  • Drive architecture and design decisions using modern design patterns and principles for scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Own data modeling decisions to ensure integrity, performance, and extensibility.
• Execution & Delivery

  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering Managers to translate requirements into actionable technical deliverables.
  • Partner with the Operations team to ensure smooth deployments, monitoring, and reliable software delivery pipelines.
  • Oversee sprint execution, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.

  • Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure high-quality, secure, and maintainable code.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Tech Lead, Senior Engineer, or Architect in a platform or backend-focused role.
• Strong expertise in design patterns, system architecture, and scalable microservices design.
• Solid knowledge of application security, including OAuth2, SSO, encryption, and secure coding practices.
• Hands-on experience with data modeling for relational and distributed databases.
• Strong coding proficiency in at least one of Go, Java, or Python; familiarity with polyglot environments.
• Experience with Kubernetes, cloud-native infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with product managers, engineering managers, and cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a fast-paced startup environment with shifting priorities.

Preferred Qualifications‍

• Prior experience in healthcare technology or other regulated industries.
• Background in building multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
• Exposure to observability frameworks (metrics, logs, tracing).
• Track record of scaling teams and instilling engineering best practices.
